Abstract

Between eighteenth and nineteenth century Qaseeda[laudatory poem] has been the most significant, and celebrated form of poetry. Though, under the socio-political effects and transformations Qaseeda went into a low profile. However, this classical form fashioned numerous dimensions of ingenuity by modifying itself accordingly and justified its significance with reference to its inventiveness across the time. In this relation, the contribution of Sahir Lakhnavi is noteworthy in the revival and restoration of Qaseeda. The present article evaluates Sahir Lucknawi's Qaseeda in the same vein.
