Abstract

Elif Shafak is a seminal novelist of Turkish literature. Problems faced by women, minorities, migrants and social problems are her novel's basic topics. Elif Shafak's novel "Iskender" is translated in English & Urdu under the title 'Honor' and 'Namoos' respectively. The story of the novel revolves around honor killing, family relationships and domestic violence. This research paper critically analyses Elif Shafak's novel with reference to Pakistani society.
