In past, Urdu lexicographer tried to compile materials from written language, not form spoken language. And the written language was the highly appreciated classical literary and text was supposed to authentic and accurate. Therefore the spoken language used by common people was ignored in dictionaries. Some lexicographers included spoken languages but they commented like: Juhala جہلا, Awam عوام. MunirLucknawi was first Urdu lexicographer who wrote a separate dictionary on Spoken language and in his dictionary he compiled Bazari Zuban, Aamyana and special words or expressions used by a profession. In this article, the examples from MunirLucknawi's dictionary have been studied and show that by passing time some Bazari and Aamyana Zuban become a part of standard language and well-used by every people.
