Abstract
Dr. Ahsan Farooqi was an important critic, novelist and story writer. He was an eminent tigure in the field of language and literature. Dr. Ahsan Farooqi has left a good and valuable material of literature behind him. His literacy capital reflects upon his literary mode of action. Dr. Ahsan Farooqi has written many novels "Sham-e-Awadh" is one of them. The life discussed in this novel is almost the real life of the writer. Some important events appear with regard to his life. These autobiographical features have been highlighted in this article.
