Abstract

This research paper is Allama Iqbal's point of view about Islamic culture, compared with western cultural thoughts with particular reference of Spengler and T.S. Eliot. The main theme is taken from Iqbal's fifth lecture "The spirit of Muslim Culture". This article brings a great difference between Islam and western world in this regard. Iqbal condemns their misconception about Islam and expressed with logic that the spirit and mysticism of Islamic culture is never ever borrowed from other civilizations and religions. But it is pure intellect and religious philosophy, higher Sufism, the ideal reversed in the possession and enjoyment of the infinite. Whereas the western culture lacks the Universal, religious and spiritual values concerning with human being.
