Abstract

Nostalgia has been defined in multiple ways by writers, poets and artists who have incorporated it in their works. In literature, nostalgia has been seen as a means to explore past and present threads of the same narrative. Modern and contemporary fictions are just concerned with nostalgic aspects of a work, as fictions of antiquity have been. However nostalgia in contemporary fiction takes a wholly new perspective.
