Abstract
Iqbal was born in the colonial age of subcontinent. He did not accept the slavish nature of his society. He resisted and criticized especially the poets of subcontinent because of their passive attitude towards life. In his opinion a poet has the ability to change the destiny of his society and nation. Due to their straight forward style of expression and leading capability Iqbal was great confessor of Arabic poetry. This article reveals that Iqbal was a keen resistant of his slavish society which has resemblance with our society.
