Abstract

When a nation dominates the other, major changes and upsets occurs in culture, society, values and behaviors of the dominated nation. The commonalty feel no hesitation to adopt these changes and make themselves proud but the intellectuals and will wishers of the nation dominated remain uneasy and restless for the loss occur to their nation. In result of such circumstances two different classes of people come into existence in one country, which causes an unending uncertainty, hate, revenge and extremism. India, especially the Muslim community of India in the colonial ages faced such circumstances. Abdullah Hussain is a well-known novelist of Urdu and his novel "ODAS NASLAIN" is a master piece on of Urdu literature which proved him an intellectual and his novel is a reflection of his feelings about colonialism and its long lasting impacts on Indian society. This paper is a brief account of what the writer wants to provide his readers with in view of colonialism.
