Abstract

Simon Digby (1932-2010) was a renowned orientalist and scholar who had a deep rooted connection with the sub-continent and knew Persian, Urdu and Hindi well. He was not only a scholar but a great collector as well and his collections included rare pieces of art, literature and sculpture. Below is given the list of the rare manuscripts of his collection in Urdu, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Sanskrit and Gujrati languages. The list was prepared by Simon Digby himself in Roman script. It has been converted to Urdu script and to verify the discrepancies, various sources have been exploited. The order of the list has not been changed.
