Abstract

This article tries to deconstruct a popular view point about jigar Murad Abadi. Jiggar is widely considered a poet who wrote about love affairs. Either it was his own experience constructed in the most popular genre of Urdu poetry "Ghazal" or some sort of collective experience of the people of sub-continent. But the article dismantles this popular notion. The article reveals that it was mystic experience that Jigar composed in the persona of love.
