Abstract
Sahir Ludhyanavi burst into the 20th century Urdu literary world with his different progressive voice. In colonial period his poetic work Talkhian proved a rebel. He presented the socio-economic changes of Subcontinent in humanistic and nationalist perspective in his poems. He represented the exploitations of humans from different angles. His poetry is an excellent example of anti-colonialism. In this article it is shown that Sahir's poetry proves that the colonized is civilized instead of the colonizer.
