Abstract
Whenever the connection between culture and religion is thrashed out, the most important question arises is that whether religion gives the codes of behavior and designs culture or it is just an element of culture like language, food, sources of production, living style , art and ceremonial traditions. Among so many answers of this query, very argumentative are of Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmad Faiz , two legendary Urdu poets of subcontinent. In contemporary condition of our society, the relationship between culture and religion has become more significant. In this article, not only an effort to understand this relationship, according to Iqbal and Faiz, has been made but also the significance and consequences of this relationship in present-day social arrangement been analyzed.
