Abstract
Some people have endeavored to build an argument as to Muslim cultural influence exerted on Sub continent in Middle Ages in line with European colonialism. This article aims at investigating the nature and the structure of Muslim cultural impact. It has been asserted that European colonialism was the direct product of capitalist industrialism while Muslim rule in middle ages was characterized by feudalism and this historical fact has played a vital role as to fixing on the configuration of cultural influences of both nations. It has also been highlighted that there existed resistance against hegemonic forms of political, economical and cultural impact during Muslim rule which found its expression in folk poetry of local languages.
