Modern short story focuses at the complex emotional and psychological feeling of man and woman as well as the social, political and economical problems of today's life. Female writers are more capable of describing the true feelings, thoughts and emotions of a woman. Female writers are representing the various shades of emotional and spiritual life of woman. They describe both the individual feelings of a woman and the common fears, tensions and mental stress of a person. Few female short story writers of our age represent the inner self of woman and raise the question of her identity.
