Abstract
Khawaja Mir Dard Dehlvi is a great poet of the eighteenth century who put the complex philosophy of Sufism into poetic form. He did not present Sufism merely as a spiritual ideology, but adopted it as a code of conduct. Belonging to the Naqashbandi Sufi tradition the Sufi thought of this poet is based on obeying God and the path driven by Nabi Pak SAW. Dard’s consciousness of Sufism is beyond the discrimination of color, race, religion and linguistic prejudice and favors love of humanity. Hid belief is Wahadat-uil-Shahudi ideology makes him see the reflection of God in everything. Inspite of his faith in mortality of the world, he never promoted lack of action, rather than his thought is based on pragmatism.
