Abstract
In 86 years many historian of Urdu literature have attempted to write/ compile a comprehensive and authentic history of Urdu literature, yet a history of Urdu literature by Ram Babu Saxaina remains a pioneer work despite its known short comings or limitations. In fact it is the foundation, upon which many architects have designed majestic structures, whether they were individuals or group of editors. In this article analytical study of this history is being presented which became a land mark achievement by a "Babu" which invites attention to many researchers to deconstruct its system after colonial legacy.
