Abstract
In the literary journal "Fanoon" different ideological debates arise. These debates kept the readers mesmerized. One of these debates came up after the publication of "Iqbal ka Ilm-e- Kalam" by Sayyed Ali Abbas Jalalpuri. Sayyed Ali Abbas Jalalpuri is of the opinion that Iqbal is a scholastic, not a philosopher. He remarked that Iqbal tried his utmost to bring the harmony between religion and modern science. Bashir Ahmad Dar differed with Jalalpuri views. This research article envelops aforesaid debate. In this essay an attempt is made to present a detailed analysis of the debate in the light of the views given by various western philosophers.
