Abstract
Deccan has been a center of Indo-Muslim culture during last seven centuries. So, the last manifestation of this culture-language of Urdu-holds and preserves the early and significant traits of creative genius of this land under the Patronage of Nizam (ruling family of the Muslim State of Deccan till Police action of India) and the scholars and researchers like Molvi Abdul Haq, Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Naser-ud-Din Hasmi and Abdul Qadir Sarwari serving this state had dug out many manuscripts of early poets, Sufis and writers. They have edited and constructed evidences for the tradition of Urdu poetry and Prose in South India. In this article out of this rich tradition, Ghazal of Poets of Deccan has been viewed based upon research and critical approach. It has also been established in this article that those genre of poetry, though borrowed from Persian poetry had the tinge of Lyrics and Rhymes of this Land.
