Abstract
If on the one hand, the social and political development of the 19th century had an impact on the evolution of Iqbal's poetry, certain literary figures of the time had an equally important role to play. The names of Ghalib, Hali & Akber Ilahabadi are worth mentioning in this case. This article is an attempt to analyze this background of Iqbal's poetry.
