Abstract
Akbar's poetry reflects a specific period of civilization, culture and ethics in India. He has touched those concepts of life which were normally ignored by other poets of that period. He has a unique and informal style which is easily understandable. He has a great sense of social ethics and sometimes his poetry conveys very serious issues in a very light digest able style. He enjoys a unique sense of humor. He tried to point out the drawbacks of Muslims and stressed upon them how to overcome their ills and evils. Akbar's role in educating Muslims against the negative side effects of Western Civilization will be ever remembered.
