Qasida is a very important and renowned kind of Urdu poetry. The most distinguished and classical Urdu poets tried their best to strengthen this Urdu poetic device, so there is a strong tradition of the Qasida which has made it everlasting. Although Qasida could not get a prominent position, But religious Qasida has been existing from the day up to date. In the 20th century many Urdu poets contributed their shares towards the promoting of Qasida and the following Urdu poets had zenith positions, in order to promote religious Qasida.  So, we see Saba Akbar Abadi,Saahir Lakhnavi, SyedWaheed-ul-Hassan and Syed Shabi-ul-Hassan were the key figures. They enhanced its grace and contributed a lot in promoting Qasida. Mohsin Naqvi is also one of them. In the following essay religious Qasida of Mohsin Naqvi has been analyzed in a modern way. The modern way of thinking and intellectualism is being used to highlight the importance and worth of the Qasida.
