Abstract

This article deals with the discourse analysis. Basically it is about the poetics of Urdu literature. The main Stream or tradition of Urdu literature works with certain poetics. After the partition, this main stream was apparently divided in to two parts: Pakistani Urdu literature and Indian Urdu literature. But the main question with this article arises is that weather it was possible to divide this main stream or tradition or not. The paper argues that the poetics is no where divide able. Urdu literature written in India after partition has no different poetics to the Urdu literature written in Pakistan.
