Abstract
This research paper deals with the relationship of Urdu short story with world mythology. It tells us that world mythology has set visible effects on the genre we know as Urdu short story. These effects, this article describes, are seen in generally. Mythology also changed the techniques of short story when it was told in its perspective. It also gave a variety to the style of Urdu short story.
