Abstract
As Urdu is the native language of Subcontinent, all the languages of invaders influenced upon the language and left some lingual effects. After the Aryans the Greeks, Arabs, Turks and Persian speaking Afghans sometimes deliberately rather aggressively affected this part of world with their culture, social norms and languages. In the context of language Arabs and Afghans have had their deep effects in this regard. Persian has remained official language of India for eight hundred years. Since last three centuries different European nations came and have some close relations with the inhabitants of Subcontinent. Among all of the Europeans, Brittan's have captured this part of world and tried to impose English Language and culture to the people of Subcontinent. English is still official language of Subcontinent and enjoys patronage of rulers. Some languages have lexical and others have grammatical effects. Urdu is the most influenced one because it is the leading language of Subcontinent. In this article effects and influences of outside languages of all invaders upon Urdu have been discussed.
