Abstract
This research article examines the impact of French novels on the tradition of Urdu Novel. It argue that only two or three translators like Muhammad Hassan Askari and Dr. Anes Nagi are Familiar with French language while others have used English versions of French novels for translating into Urdu. The paper concludes that some important Urdu novelists learnt the technique and impression used by their French counter parts, from those translations.
