Abstract
Allama Niaz Fatehpuri, editor of the famous Urdu literary magazine 'Nigar' wrote consistently about the India -Pakistan relations in his editorials during 1950s. His point of view was that - sooner or later both countries will have to address their differences and become friends. The present article studies the arguments of these editorials written by Niaz Fatehpuri to establish their relevance to and significance for the contemporary political situation.
