Abstract
Renowned poet, writer, translator and journalist of Urdu literature, Anwar Sen Roy is popular for his unique works. As a journalist, he has been associated with many organizations. His one line analysis on Pakistani political and literary history is not less than any detail. Anwar Sen Roy’s novel "Cheekh" occupies a unique place in resistance literature. In it, he described martial law and its coercion in a bold manner. Among his other creations are the novel "Ziltoon Ke Aseer" and translations of the poems of Muhammad Darwish and Udwins. In this, he has presented a woman in a different form, which fights for her survival in a male-dominated society. “Ziltoon ke Aseer” is not only the story of a woman, but the story of all the women of the world who are not only victims of men's oppression, but are also trapped in the shackles of social customs and traditions
