There are many changes that have taken place in literature or in the new critical theories, the movement of feminism has a prominent place. Feminist concepts are presented in the works of male writers. The early fiction writers and novelists like Premchand also presents female characters. It exists and accordingly, it is natural for feminine concepts to come in. There are clear glimpses of feminine consciousness in Premchand’s personality and art, but in some places, he also imposes many restrictions regarding women under the guise of orientalism. This paper examines the personality of Premchand and the feminine concepts and female characters presented in Gaudana and tries to clarify the contradictions between his personality and in the novel.
