Abstract

Creative writings are the jewels of Literary Treasure and critics like Wordsworth believed that creative writings should not be criticized by critiques. Even west believes that creation is superior to translation. No doubt, but no one can deny the importance of translations. In fact translations open the doors of other languages and introduce us to the new worlds of literature. Literary Journals are the best source of publication of translations. From Twentieth Century and on wards Urdu Literary Journals, always give prominence to every sort of translation. “Angarey Multan” is one of them. Angarey started its publication in January 2003. In its first issue translation of a French short story was published, and till today translations are best part of this journal. In this article I have tried to illustrate its contribution in tradition of Urdu Translation (short story). French, Russian, English, Irish, Norwegian, Turkish, Persian, Bengali and Sindhi, new and old, renowned and best, short story writers have been translated in Angarey.
