Abstract

Saraiki poetry of Khawaja Ghulam Farid is a beautiful synthesis of profound ideas, shaped not only by various linguistic traditions but also by an extensive study of Hindi and Sanskrit mythological thoughts, symbols, and philosophical concepts, combined with a refined intellect and visionary insight.”In his poetic discourse, one not only discovers new avenues for exploration, inquiry, and research into the authoritative cultural, symbolic, and qualitative traditions of earlier ages, but the poetry of Khawaja Sahib also remains deeply imbued with Hindu mythological symbols, allegories, signs, metaphors, and interpretative expressions that encompass the realms of history, religion, and philosophy. These all elements are not just literary embellishment but as a symbol of mystical experience and intellectual breath for him. Especially the kafee number 70 is an important example of the deep study and layered analysis of these symbols and signs. Where new dimensions of intellectual, spiritual and philosophical meanings are revealed in the background of mythological signs
