Abstract

The thesis is concerned to analyse the gradual criticism of urdu novel.It is examined after research that the criticism of Urdu Novel like literary criticism, instigated from prefaces and exordiums.Although its worth is only historical yet it is enough significant to include in early vestiges of novel.These initial notes extended about half of century.The criticism of later century can be divided into four parts.(1)Technical Studies (2) Thematic Criticism (3) Criticism on novelists 4.Temporal and regional Studies. These readings are embellished with figurative language.There are multiple writings limited to teaching phenomena.However,the analysis,stimulated by voracious reading and keen concern in novel are also part of Urdu Novel's criticism.Thus,criticism of Urdu novel is such a vase in which different flowers are placed that leads to diversified forms of contemplation.
