Colonial Socio-political Scenario and Nazeer's Poetic Version (Cultural & Economical Perspective)

Abstract

Nazeer Akbarabadi, prominent poet from 18th century creates traditional India via his poetic verses and socio-political frame of thinking. Nazeer presented common man life through poetic diction and paint the concrete and steel images of indo-pak middle class life style, Cultural and Economical prospect according to his time period. Nazeer Akbar Abadi’s poem is deep and strong creative recreation and reflection of middle class life which was facing countless socio-political and cultural ethical values in British Raj. Although Nazeer belongs to era in which so called Mughal density was preparing last nights in Laal Qila but the real ruler’s were destroying lay man life by their best to conquer the whole land of India behind the screen. When the cream poets of Urdu literature and poetry were buttering the Mughal’s by Qaseeda n Ghazal, Nazeer was painting Common man pictures and their cultural changes in his poetic world. He was not connected with Raj Darbar and also nor was a straight critic of British Raj as Akbar Alha Abadi was. We can say that Nazeer’s poetic works are the real recreation of indo-pak middle class civilization and their cultural values with their positive and negative plus and minus broad and narrow points of discussions. In this article the collective discourse regarding Indian cultural values is presented by the textual analysis of poetic version of that particular era. When common man was struggling in new aspects of life but upper class elite was enjoying their liberty with Raja Maharaja and British Business tycoons. Nazeer’spoems talks about the real problems of lay manlike Mufalsi, Paisa,  Aata daal,Rooti, rupiya, Chapatti and Holi, Devaliextra. In this article we have to interpret the poetic text by qualitative research methods of to analyse the socio political cultural environment of 18th century and the situation of common man in Nazeer poetry.In that particular era lay man was struggling for life humanity food health and other basic necessities of life.
