Abstract

Universities are the hubs of research and creative works besides serving as the centers of learning. University learning, unlike of schools and colleges is not centered and focused on class room practices alone. The real purpose of higher education is to sharpen the intellect of scholars through research and creative teachers is an undeniable asset for a nation. Their literary, creative and research treatises serve as a torch and beacon of light for new generat ion. The present study highl ights, investigates and acknowledges the contribution of teachers at university of Sindh in the field of Urdu from establishment of the university till 1970.
