Abstract

Tradition of Research in Urdu in Pakistan the tradition of research in Urdu is not too old. the same is in Pakistan . the research in Urdu remained dispersed in the initial years of Pakistan .the facilities for research were not up to the mark and the sources needed for it were scattered the issue of sources of Indian office was still pending . Dr. Anwar Sadid extended work in this direction in the form of various Schools. i .e . School of Lahore and school of Karachi. Hafiz Mehmood Sherani has also contributed in this regard .At the time, the research work in pakistan is greately tied with theses written for the partial fulfillment of M. Phil and Ph.D Programs in Urdu. There is need to strengthen these means to promote quality research in this insatiable area.
