This research tries to establish a correlation among literature, intellectual property rights, and creative economy. Piracy is one of the hindrances in the way of national role of literature. Poetry, research, novel, drama, and other literary efforts decay for the reason of rampant violation of copyrights. This not only affects growth of literature but also causes decline in national creative economy. Among various reasons behind violation of copyrights are lack of awareness of laws, complex legislative construction, and exorbitant trail costs. Literature in Pakistan generally and Urdu literature particularly has been victims of piracy. This research systematically establishes role of Urdu literature in national creative economy. Moreover, it will aim to create awareness regarding copyrights in very convenient manner to help creative economy grow.
