Abstract

Aziz Ahmad and Ali Sardar Jafri, both progressive critics in their books having same title "Taraqi Pasand Adab. Manto for his, according to them, fuhush short-fiction. This Glistening blame increased the popularity of Manto who was actually in system-threating writer. Contrary to his short stories, Manto seems in his explanatory articles about fahashi. His argument about his "fuhush" writings is very cheap. He says that he was not as fuhush as some classical poets wax. In this article, Zia-ul-Hassan criticizes this behaviour.
