Abstract

In this article with the method of close reading and historicity, it is argued that the novel of renowned Urdu literary historian Tabassum Kashmiri, Qasbah Kahani is a fine example of contemporary history. This novel, instead of describing directly the contemporary history, used symbolic and indirect stylistic methods to present and interpret it.
