Abstract

This article reflects that Mr. Sheerani was very first man in the history of Indo-Pak sub-continent linguistics who with strong arguments said that Punjab is a region where at least two languages are spoken Punjabi & Saraiki. This article discusses this idea with new facts and research. The author has tried to make a comparative study of Punjabi and Saraiki phonetics too. He has proved that not one but two languages are spoken in Punjab region, i.e. Punjabi and Saraiki. Although these two languages have some similarities but these are totally different from one another. Both these languages have their own phonetics, syntax and other linguistic characteristics.
