Abstract

During different periods different researchers have argued in favour or opposition about changing of Urdu script into roman or Devenagri. All these efforts have been discussed comprehensively in the following thesis. Researcher has presented way of historical research in favour and opposition of Urdu script almost one century. Besides pointing out the merits and demerits of Urdu script in comparative linguistic, it has been concluded that Urdu script is the best script.
