Abstract

The writer of this article has presented a critical study of Arsh Siddiqui's poetry. He has pinpointed those tendencies and attitudes of Arsh Siddiqui which have acquainted him with perception of conscious, humanism, broadmindedness and a jovial society. The writer counts Arsh Siddiqui as the first poet in Multan who has evolved a synthesis of (old and modern of east and west) literature in the tradition of poetry in Multan. He has presented the modern poetic tendencies with concious literary theories. He does not belong to a movement. He has his own theory based on scientific consciousness. He has adopted modernism on the basis of this theory. His theory is free from all the impurities. It emulates balance in life, broadmindedness, joviality and humanism. From this perspective Arsh Siddiqui is the first realistic, conscious and theoretic modern poet in Multan.
