Abstract

Ghalib and Momin both have a great and unique importance in Urdu poetry. Ghalib and Momin can be easily considered comparatively in the field of "Ghazal". Ghalib takes life with consciousness and with a deep awareness of the problems of mankind. Ghalib portrays the grief and torture in a confident way and never feels regrets. On the other hand in Momin, poetry relaxation, excitement and love are described in such a style which is stimulus for a specific period. Philosophical approach in Ghalib poetry has everlasting effects whereas in Momin poetry linguistic beauty and informal style inspires readers.
