Abstract

In spite of Benefiting from the knowledge and learning of orientalists, Iqbal like Edward Saeed knew about the purposes of imperialism. Not only this, Iqbal also grasped the reality of that "discourse" which has been exposed by Edward Saeed. This branch of knowledge of the west is a weapon of western imperialistic extentionalism which has played an important role to distort Islam and Islamic orientalistic spirit. It is necessary for oriental nations to reject this imperialistic ideology and try to discover their own past themselves. Orientalists prove the west superior to the east. Muslim should negate this attitude of orientalism and by adopting the way of self-discovery should understand and make others to understand their past and culture.
