Abstract

This is a research study about the contribution of a literary journal "Afkar" in promotion of the tradition of literary auto biographies. The auto biographies of Akhtar Hussain Raipuri, Begum Hamida Akhtar Hussain, Khalique Ibrahim Khalique, Ada Jaafari, Sibte Hassan Ebadat Baralvi and other man of latter were firstly published in this journal in different episode. So it is remarkable that no literary Journal other than 'Afkar' Karachi published the auto biographies to promote this genre. This article reflects the different angles of this contribution.
