Urdu Prose Literature in the Context of Azad Kashmir

Abstract

 Azad Kashmir, a region with a rich cultural heritage, has played a significant role in the development of Urdu prose literature. The region's unique history, politics, and society have shaped the themes, styles, and narratives of Urdu prose writing. Azad Kashmir's struggle for independence and self-determination has inspired writers to explore themes of resistance, freedom, and patriotism.The region's distinct cultural identity, influenced by its history, geography, and people, has been a recurring theme in Urdu prose literature. Writers from Azad Kashmir have addressed pressing social and political issues, such as poverty, education, and human rights, in their works. The region's rich folklore and traditions have been incorporated into Urdu prose literature, preserving the cultural heritage of Azad Kashmir.Azad Kashmir has been part of various literary movements, , which have shaped the development of Urdu prose literature.These writers, among many others, have contributed significantly to Urdu prose literature, reflecting the region's unique perspective and experiences. Nature has given the people of Kashmir valley the poetic literary taste. Along with personalities in the prose tradition, newspapers and journals of all languages, literary and cultural institutions, literary organizations, associations and personalities. Also played a significant role. From the review of Urdu prose literature in Azad Kashmir, it is known that the creation of Urdu and prose literature in Azad Kashmir is encouraging despite the problems.
