Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain is considered among the ones who spent more than twenty years being intimate friend of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and having great poetic insight in Iqbal's poetry. His being a man of letters and a deep learning is even endorsed by Iqbal himself. He joined Punjab Civil Secretariat in 1925 as an Article Writer and soon promoted as the Officer In-charge Press Branch in the Home Department and owing to his great services Indian Govt awarded him the titles of "Khan Shahib" and "Khan Bahadur" On the auspices of Allama Iqbal and to his great admiration, he translated POLITICAL THOUGHTS IN ISLAM in Urdu as KHILAFAT-E-ISLAMYA. It is owing to his advice that Iqbal got his works published in different collections. Iqbal would discuss literary and even personal matters with him. During serving in Press Branch he kept Allama Iqbal well informed about current political affairs. He accompanied him in the journeys to Madrass, Pani Put and Surhind. In this article the relations of Allama Iqbal and Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain are tried to be meticulously encompassed by the writer.
