Abstract

Modern Urdu Ghazal due to its new sensibility has possessed unique kinds of dimensions. In it, the process of self expression attains a paramount importance in particular, by which a poet reveals his personality and self with superb creative craftsmanship. Saqi Farooqi is a modern poet of Ghazal who has created a new atmosphere of verse by harmonizing self, personality and Ego, and used his Ghazal as a means to the discovery of self.
