Abstract

In March 1935 Ch. Barkat Ali (Late) started publishing a monthly Urdu literary journal ADAB E LATIF from Lahore. In its beginning it was an ordinary journal but very soon it started projecting Progressive Movement and progressive literature and still it is a known organ of progressive school of thought. It is the policy of ADAB E LATIF to protest against violation of human rights and injustice at every cost. This article illustrates the services it rendered specially for resistant Urdu Literature before and after partition of India. No doubt ADAB E LATIF is a renowned spokesman of those who are resisting injustice and violations all over the world.
