French short Story Writer Guy De Maupassant and Saadat Hassan Manto have been considered to be the writers of all ages. They belonged to two different Countries with extremely divergent social and cultural background, yet there is amazing resemblance between their themes and characters. Both have a wide range of variegated characters in their short stories belonging to all spheres of life. Through magnificent female characters, they have challenged the double standards of male dominant society.
