Abstract

Tracing literary history of Urdu in Baluchistan based upon documents and evidences is not easy as this area has strong oral tradition, multilingual scenario and inflated claims by nationalists fearing negation of their cultural identity. In this article homage to those early researchers and critics has been paid, who have documented literary history of Urdu covering at least two centuries. The Writer, a Student, Teacher and Researcher himself from Baluchistan University has tried to elucidate the distinctive colours of Urdu poetry of Baluchistan.
