Iqbal Allama Iqbaliyat Tauhid Democracy Poetry
This essay is an attempt to highlight Iqbal's concept of democracy. Iqbal has derived his democratic ideal from the teaching of Islam. He is of the view that "The Essence of Tauhid, as a working idea, is equality, solidarity, and freedom. The state, from the Islamic standpoint, is an Endeavour to transform these ideal principles into space-time forces, an aspiration to realize Tuahid is the fountainhead of the Islamic concept of democracy as formulated by Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Allama Iqbal's philosophical writings as well as his poetic compositions on the subject are my main source of inspiration in this study.
